Who we are
Algonquin Cultural Teachings & Tours is an Indigenous-owned cultural education and tourism organization rooted in Algonquin knowledge, lived experience, and deep relationship to the land. We share authentic Indigenous teachings in ways that educate, build understanding, and strengthen respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
Our work is grounded in storytelling, land-based learning, and cultural teachings that reflect indigenous history, values, and worldview. We offer traditional teachings, cultural awareness and reconciliation activities, event planning, and educational tours throughout Algonquin traditional territory. Each program is delivered with care, cultural protocol, and respect for the knowledge being shared.
We work with schools, colleges, universities, municipalities, organizations, and community groups to provide meaningful learning experiences that go beyond textbooks. Our programs support Indigenous education goals, curriculum requirements, and the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, while creating space for reflection, dialogue, and relationship-building.
Algonquin Cultural Teachings & Tours is guided by the belief that learning begins with listening — to the land, to the stories, and to the people who have carried this knowledge for generations. All teachings are shared responsibly and ethically, with a strong commitment to cultural integrity and community accountability.
